The Future of Certification programme is focused on replacement of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI’s) electronic certification applications (for animal products, wine, plants and plant products, and quota management), it’s system for exchanging electronic export and import data (Tahora) and several manual paper-based assurance processes – all of which sit within the wider certification and assurance system. This Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO) is an alert to suppliers of potential upcoming procurement activity and MPI’s intent to engage with suppliers in the market to inform our requirements and help MPI learn more about how the market will respond to this opportunity. It does not represent a commitment by MPI to procure but provides an indication to the market about the potential future activity.
Suppliers can subscribe to this FPO, and MPI will be using this list to assist with market research. MPI is intending to engage with suppliers via a supplier briefing between 9–11am on Tuesday 1 March 2022. After this briefing session, MPI may ask to engage suppliers directly to gather further information. Please note that MPI may not have capacity to engage individually with all suppliers who express their interest. However, when/if a Registration of Interest (ROI) is released, this FPO will be linked to the ROI so that those suppliers who have subscribed to the FPO will get automatically notified of the ROI being released.
