Overview:	The Primary Sector Growth Fund (PSGF) provides support on a co-investment basis to help primary sector businesses, industry bodies, and other groups to: - leverage opportunities or address problems - create benefits for New Zealand and themselves. Proposals may cover multiple aspects of the food and fibre sector’s value chain — new products, technology and services, or new ways of operating, producing, marketing, handling and distributing. The primary purpose of a project could be economic, environmental, social, or cultural. However, applications must show us how success in the project will enable direct economic benefits for the food and fibre sectors in New Zealand more broadly. The PSGF will not fund projects that an organisation or company would be expected to complete as part of its core business. Overview:	MPI (The Ministry) is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to design, install, and fit out a new Physical Containment Level 2 (PC2) Aquatic Laboratory. The project involves relocating MPI’s existing aquatic laboratory into an existing PC3 laboratory space and delivering a fully operational aquaria that supports aquatic research, diagnostics, and biosecurity activities. This will be a two-stage procurement process, beginning with an open Registration of Interest, followed by a closed competitive Request for Proposals for shortlisted respondents. MPI recognises that the specialist nature of this project may require organisations to work together to provide the full range of skills and experience needed. We welcome responses from suppliers who form partnerships or subcontracting arrangements, such as design consultancies partnering with construction contractors or specialist aquatic systems providers. Respondents should demonstrate how their proposed team will provide a complete, integrated solution, and clear accountability for delivery of the project from detailed design through to handover. Specialist aquaculture and aquatic life-support expertise will be critical to successful delivery. Suppliers should consider early how they will secure the right specialist capability to support the detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover of the facility. The proposed approach will need to demonstrate an understanding of PC2 laboratory requirements, relevant standards including AS/NZS 2243.3 and AS/NZS 2982, and the design and operation of aquatic systems such as recirculating aquaculture systems, water treatment, monitoring, controls and life-support systems.

Overview:	Why the grant was established The Poultry Biosecurity Grant helps commercial poultry operators with fewer than 100,000 birds improve on-farm biosecurity and prepare for H5 bird flu. Strong biosecurity is one of the best ways to protect poultry from disease and reduce the risk of spread of H5 bird flu. The grant supports practical improvements on poultry and egg farms. It will help protect poultry businesses, jobs, livelihoods, and New Zealand's food supply. The government has committed $1.5 million to the grant, which was developed in partnership with the poultry industry and builds on existing preparedness work. How the grant will support poultry and egg operators Applications are open until 30 September 2026. The grant covers work completed on or after 28 July 2026. Strong on-farm biosecurity is one of our best defences against H5 bird flu and will help manage and prevent spread if it does reach poultry. Grant funding will support practical improvements that make a measurable enhancement to on-farm biosecurity, including: - infrastructure like fencing, storage areas, quarantine sheds - controlled entry points - bird-proofing measures - cleaning and disinfecting facilities. Our application guideline has a full list of eligible infrastructure improvements. Overview:	We require experienced suppliers for a panel of MPI preferred suppliers for Privacy Associated Services (“Panel”) where the services are required within MPI. The scope includes supporting various enterprise projects with Privacy by Design advisory, privacy impact and risk assurance, and associated privacy services, as well as supporting the internal MPI Privacy team’s privacy officer duties. Panel suppliers will be required to be New Zealand based, as some work will require to access to MPI data and devices, therefore having a presence in New Zealand is a must. What’s important to us? Strong experience in and understanding of New Zealand privacy law in theory and in practice, including, for example: demonstratable experience of privacy-by-design in practice, timely and accurate delivery of privacy assessments, development of fit-for-purpose guidance and provision of training, handling privacy-related information access requests, personal information sharing frameworks and mechanisms, and prompt and effective incident and complaints management and breach response.
