This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO). A FPO has replaced the Annual Procurement Plan information previously available to supplier’s on MBIE’s website. A FPO is to alert suppliers of potential upcoming procurement activity. It does not represent a commitment by MPI to procure, but provides an indication to the market about the potential future activity.

The purpose of this FPO is to inform potential suppliers of the pending release of a Registration of Interest for a Workforce Planning and Management solution for MPIs Border Clearance Services group. The completion of this procurement is subject to business case approval.

We are looking for a fit for purpose solution from a single supplier that will improve current state operations and support us working smarter.

We have currently identified seven functionalities to meet MPIs requirements. These include:
• Rostering, duty allocation and deployment optimisation
• Demand modelling
• Competency framework
• Legislative compliance
• Reporting
• Notifications and alerts
• Mobility

In preparation for the procurement, MPI would like to undertake pre-market engagement with some prospective suppliers to be a better informed customer of the Workforce Planning and Management market. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your Workforce Planning and Management platform and obtain insight into your market, as this will help inform MPI as we prepare to go out to market in getting the best outcome to meet the operational needs. Depending on the number of meeting requests received from suppliers, we may not be able to meet with everyone, though we will be aiming to meet with a sufficient number and mix of organisations that will enhance MPI’s knowledge in this area.
