Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from community pharmacies that wish to receive funding to support the delivery of Online GP consultations within the pharmacy environment. This initiative is part of the 2025/26 NAAR commitment and aims to enhance access to primary care by enabling people to consult a GP online at their local pharmacy, with a particular focus on supporting individuals who face challenges in accessing or enrolling with a general practice.

Selected pharmacies will receive funding to support the establishment of private, digitally enabled space within their pharmacy where patients can complete an Online GP consultation. This provides a convenient and trusted access point for primary care, particularly in communities experiencing access pressures.

Health NZ will be using an on-line form for you to complete in order to register your interest. We are also using standard ROI terms to govern this EOI process.
