Overview

The key objective of this procurement is to engage a supplier with proven experience and expertise, to procure, install and configure thirteen CCTV cameras sites across nine priority locations in the Waikato District.
Waikato District Council has chosen to shift their VMS solution from Milestone to NxWitness. Suppliers must price this VMS within their solution for the 13 new CCTV cameras across the nine priority sites. No alternative VMS solution will be accepted, and those suppliers who do not quote on NxWitness will be removed from the tender process. Waikato District Council has chosen to use on-premise storage, with no immediate plans to move towards Cloud due to budget constraints. The server location for the new cameras will be at Ngāruawāhia dog pound. Suppliers must propose and price the appropriate servers which accommodate the proposed 13 camera storage listed in the RFT.
It is important to note that Waikato District Council went out to market via GETS for this scope of works in April, however, responses were not reviewed or evaluated as further requirements needed to be confirmed to ensure a successful project outcome. Having consulted with other councils and independent CCTV surveillance system experts, Waikato District Council has now confirmed scope and formulated clearer requirements. We appreciate supplier patience as we re-tender.
Deadline for tenders is 7th October 2025 at 10:00am.
