Overview

Waikato District Council (WDC or Council) is committed to building “Liveable, Thriving & Connected Communities”. To do that, it needs great people and great places and it is critical that our tree assets are maintained and managed appropriately and robustly to ensure that they are healthy and safe.

Waikato District Council is the steward of the District’s public urban tree resources and currently maintains some 5000 urban street trees and a similar number of specimen trees in parks, reserves and on other Council-owned lands. WDC is looking to partner with a supplier to deliver tree/arboriculture maintenance service, in these spaces for our Communities.

To achieve this WDC needs:
• A contractor who can partner with WDC in an open and transparent manner.
• A contractor that has the capability and capacity to deliver cost effective tree maintenance to a constantly high standard.
• A contract partner with innovative tendencies that will help improve Council’s business maturity. With the goal of improving communication, asset data and record keeping by utilising the latest digital/electronic systems and technology.
