Overview

Western Bay of Plenty District Council, on behalf of Quayside Properties Limited (QPL), invites Registration of Interest (ROI) from pre-qualified contractors to tender for the Rangiuru Interchange project. ROI will be accepted from contractors or consortia who are prequalified to ‘Surfacing – Level 2A’, ‘Bridge Construction – Level 3A’ and ‘Construction – Level 4A’ under the Waka Kotahi Prequalification System.

The Rangiuru Interchange will be a full diamond interchange retrofitted to the existing Tauranga Eastern Link about 2.5km northwest of the Paengaroa Roundabout. It will be the primary access to the proposed 148Ha Rangiuru Business Park, which is the largest consented greenfield industrial zone in the Bay of Plenty. The works include the construction of a bridge, earthworks in the order of 150,000 cubic metres (inclusive of stormwater swales) and extension of existing culverts. Bulk earthworks will be undertaken by JMC Ltd as a nominated subcontractor.

QPL expects to issue Tender Documents at the beginning of May 2022, with a six week tender period. Tenders will be evaluated using the Price Quality Method. QPL expects to award the construction contract by mid-July 2022.
The works will be carried out under a Measure and Value NZS 3910 contract.

Contractors can register their interest in the project by submitting a single A4 letter stating the name of the entity registering their interest and the names of any key subcontractors and providing contact details for the bid manager.

ROI submissions must be emailed to: Mike Horsley (mike@quaysideholdings.co.nz)
Copied to: Mark Hatchman (mark@quaysideholdings.co.nz) and Scott Bready (sbready@bbo.co.nz).
ROI submissions close at 4:00pm on Thursday 21 April 2022.

QPL will communicate only with those parties that register their interest. The tender will not be re-advertised publicly.
