Overview

The University of Canterbury is planning to establish a multi-supplier panel of external course providers to support delivery across the MBA and Executive Education within the UC Business School.
The UC Business School aims to provide learning experiences that are industry-relevant, academically robust, and responsive to the evolving needs of learners and employers. Demand continues to grow for specialised expertise, contemporary practice-based teaching, and flexible delivery models that complement internal academic capability.
To achieve these goals, the University intends to engage suitably qualified external providers who can contribute to:
• Lecturing and facilitation of MBA core and elective papers
• Delivery of Executive Education short courses and professional programmes
• Development of course content, teaching resources, and learning materials
• Applied project supervision, coaching, and professional development activities
• Participation in relevant programme hui and quality assurance processes where required
The panel approach will provide a structured and consistent framework for engaging external experts, ensuring:
• Improved quality assurance across externally delivered teaching
• Greater operational efficiency and streamlined contracting
• Increased transparency of expenditure and supplier performance
• Enhanced flexibility to scale delivery as programme demand fluctuates
The University anticipates releasing an open Request for Proposal (RFP) through GETS following this Advance Notice and encourages interested providers with relevant subject matter expertise and teaching capability to prepare for participation.
