The University of Canterbury has commenced a major refurbishment of a large 1960s former teacher training college. The site will be developed into a Digital Campus for the delivery of media-based courses, research, and commercial partners across video, gaming, film, and television. There are also several large scale construction projects that may commence during the period of this contract on the main Ilam Campus that may be included within the scope of services.

As with any estate of this age and type, there are a range of legacy issues which are a challenge in delivering such a scheme. Our contractors need to work with us in partnership to ensure that we can maintain the health, safety, and welfare of all those working on site.

To this end we are seeking proposals to deliver a service working with our main contractors. This would strengthen our relationship with our contractors whilst simultaneously ensuring that we remain confident of their working practices.
