UC’s intention is to provide UC staff with safe work environment, including the seismic performance of campus structures. Meremere building has recently undergone a structural re-assessment, identifying that the main structure meets UC’s seismic rating criteria. However, the rooftop plant room was assessed as a earthquake risk structure. A concept strengthening design was produced with the structural assessment. UC wish to progress the concept design to a full detailed strengthening design (for tender, consent and construction). The consultant engagement will include the main contractor tender support and construction phase support.
