Overview

***** Deadline to register for site visit - 1pm 26 Jul 24 - Site visit will be held on 29 Jul 24 *****

The Boiler House (GS25) is located beside the facilities maintenance building on Engineering Road, UC Ilam campus, housing hot water boilers and associated plant and equipment supplying hot water for heating (winter season) and hot potable water (year-round) for Ilam campus.
There are legacy issues associated with the maintenance access to two tanks that require regular access. A spill tank (non-pressurised) has a new compliant access to the top, however it required an additional access via a port hole near the bottom of the tank. The second tank is an air receiver tank (pressurised) with valves and gauges atop the tank that require maintenance access. This tank cannot be welded to, as it is pressure vessel. It also has a domed-top, making ladder access not feasible (unsafe). A temporary scaffolding is required on an annual basis to service the valves. A permanent access solution shall provide a long-term, readily available access compliant with the current health and safety requirements. Access solutions for these two additional locations are to be addressed in this project:

1. Particular matter sensor mounted on the flue
2. Access to the top of the compressed air receiver tank
3. A port hole access to spill tank (non-pressurised tank)

RFx Outcome

No Winner Procurement cancelled or postponed
