MPI is seeking a supplier to provide comprehensive Energy Management Services across its property portfolio. The services include energy data collection and validation, utility invoice verification, budgeting and forecasting, monthly dashboards, quarterly monitoring and targeting reports, online reporting access, energy market analysis, savings identification and tracking, carbon reduction advice, and transition and data-transfer support.

MPI is looking for a supplier with a strong methodology, reliable systems, robust quality assurance, credible energy-management experience, sufficient capacity, clear reporting, and a practical mobilisation plan. The solution must support prompt escalation of material anomalies, transparent tracking of verified savings, secure management of MPI data, continuous improvement, and value for money. MPI also values innovation, including appropriate use of AI, and economic benefits that build New Zealand capability in energy management. The successful supplier will provide proactive, accurate and timely energy management services that help MPI monitor, analyse, optimise, and reduce energy consumption, energy costs, and carbon emissions. The supplier must be able to begin transition on 26 January 2027 and complete it by 5 March 2027 or earlier if possible.
