MPI will shortly be issuing an RFP seeking vendor proposals for a Laboratory Equipment Panel. This will be used by MPI's three laboratories (Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch) for the purchase of laboratory equipment. It will replace the current syndicated Laboratory Equipment Panel which will shortly expire.
The new panel will be for MPI use only and will be structured in two parts - provision of equipment requiring little to no ongoing services post-installation, and provision of equipment requiring ongoing supplier involvement, e.g. maintenance, servicing and connection to key MPI information systems. MPI intends to build strong strategic relations with suppliers in the latter category to assist with long term planning. It is intended the panel will comprise of 6-12 vendors in total and suppliers may apply for both categories if they wish.
MPI will be providing an online supplier briefing as part of the RFP. Dates are tbc but likely 10 or 11 September. Registration details will be in the RFP document. The briefing will be recorded and made available on GETS for suppliers who are unable to attend. We will also be requesting supplier presentations as part of the RFP.
