MPI is planning to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) in March to consolidate MPI's two existing fisheries research panels into a single, unified panel.

Through this process, MPI will be seeking fisheries research service providers with the capability and expertise to join the panel. The scope of services is expected to include:
-fisheries surveys
-quantitative research
-aquatic environment research
-ageing services
-catch‑sampling programmes
-tagging programmes

Interested providers are invited to consider this opportunity and engage with the upcoming RFP process.

This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO).  A FPO is an alert to suppliers of a potential upcoming procurement activity, though does not represent a commitment by MPI to procure, however provides an indication to the market about the potential future activity. Suppliers can subscribe to this FPO, and MPI may use this list to assist with market research. When the RFP is released, the FPO will be linked to the RFP so that those suppliers who have subscribed to the FPO will get automatically notified of the RFP being released.
