Biosecurity Target Evaluation Team Systems and Operations Review

MPI is initiating a review of the Target Evaluation Team (TET), which plays a critical role in biosecurity border clearance by assessing lodgements for biosecurity and food safety risks. The review will explore opportunities to enhance TET’s capability and responsiveness through digital innovation, including process automation, improved targeting tools, and artificial intelligence. With a growing and increasingly complex workload, the team must adapt to meet rising demand and interagency collaboration.
