Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service (TUR – NZFS) has a number of research initiatives delivering a wealth of forest plot measurement data over the next 12─24 months. We are seeking a supplier who can provide comprehensive analysis and reporting on this diverse suite of datasets for both native and exotic forests grown naturally and in plantation settings. The work will consist of a combination of known analyses that follow up on previous TUR – NZFS research initiatives as well as novel approaches to address evolving research questions.
TUR – NZFS is seeking an experienced and adaptable supplier. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting complex forestry datasets and capable of applying both established analytical methods and innovative approaches when presented with new data. We encourage submission of consortium proposals to help ensure leading expertise is provided across a broad range of forestry sciences for both natives and exotics. Note any consortium bids must have at least one invited supplier from the Panel as the proposal lead for contracting purposes.
The supplier will ideally have a strong track record in delivery of modelling for forest growth and carbon sequestration as well as forest dynamics under varying management scenarios.
