The New Zealand Government is seeking to establish and operate a timber advisory service (Timber Design Centre) that will act as a catalyst to accelerate the use of low carbon products in buildings across New Zealand. By developing new service offerings, disseminating knowledge on how to design and build with wood products, particularly for mid-rise, mass timber buildings or utilising offsite construction techniques, the Timber design Centre will help New Zealand increase domestic construction utilising wood.
