Objective:
To collect biological information describing highly migratory fish species from shore-based fish processing and handling facilities for input into regional stock assessments.
Specific Objectives:
1. To continue the catch sampling programme for swordfish, bigeye tuna, Pacific bluefin tuna, and yellowfin tuna for the 2020–21 fishing year. Attempt to collect information on other large HMS species such as sharks and moonfish.
2. To continue the catch sampling programme for swordfish, bigeye tuna, Pacific bluefin tuna, and yellowfin tuna for the 2021–22 fishing year. Attempt to collect information on other large HMS species such as sharks and moonfish.
3. To continue the catch sampling programme for swordfish, bigeye tuna, Pacific bluefin tuna, and yellowfin tuna for the 2022–23 fishing year. Attempt to collect information on other large HMS species such as sharks and moonfish.
