The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is seeking to compile and make publically available information on the cultural, heritage, and scientific values of swamp kauri.
This works follows on from recommendations made by the Auditor–General in September 2015 concerning the regulation of swamp kauri activities. In preparing this tender, MPI has sought input from others including the Ministry for Culture and Heritage (MCH).
