New Zealand has been supporting the Republic of the Marshall Islands (MIMRA) and the Federated States of Micronesia (NORMA) for many years, with fisheries compliance a core component of both bilateral relationships. Under previous phases, MIMRA and NORMA have both identified the supplier as central to significant improvements in compliance systems, port State measures, labour standards, market access, and broader institutional capability. For this reason we have engaged Mr Francisco Blaha's under a Contract for Services (CFS) for a further three years for him to continue with the work already under way.
