Overview

MFAT is giving advance notice of an upcoming opportunity for the procurement of Fund Management Services for the ASEAN New Zealand Vision Fund. This flagship initiative will support regional cooperation in Southeast Asia through a flexible, responsive mechanism jointly managed by New Zealand and ASEAN. We are seeking a supplier to design, establish, and manage the Fund, including its operational office and delivery mechanism. The successful supplier will be responsible for fund administration, project management, and reporting, and must demonstrate strong capability in managing regional development initiatives.

Key requirements of suppliers must include:
1. Proven experience in fund management, due diligence, and governance reporting.
2. Strong understanding of gender, human rights, and environmental considerations.
3. Ability to engage effectively with ASEAN stakeholders and operate in culturally diverse environments.
4. Legal presence in Indonesia and capacity to manage funds in compliance with local laws.

The Fund will support initiatives aligned with three short-term outcomes:
1. Strengthened governance and institutional inclusiveness to address security challenges.
2. Enhanced regional and local capabilities to drive economic returns and community opportunities.
3. Improved policy and action on climate change, environmental management, and renewable energy.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to New Zealand’s strategic engagement in Southeast Asia and deliver impactful development outcomes across the region.

Please note: This is not a tender. It is an advance notice to inform the market of a forthcoming opportunity. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be released mid-October, with a response period of approximately 25 working days.
