The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is seeking to appoint a Supplier for Engineer to the Contract, Project Management, and MSQA services for a project involving Solar PV with BESS systems in Vanuatu.
MFAT requires the services of a construction consultancy supplier to support our role as Principal to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract of a 1.2 solar PV plant with 2.5 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Tanna and a 6 MWh BESS in Efate, Vanuatu, as part of the so-called RESSET project.
This project is a unique opportunity to support Vanuatu as it embarks on its energy transition. The estimated value of the contract will be NZD 600k-800k, and the expected duration will be 2 years.
We will be conducting the procurement process via an open market single stage tender. The contract will be awarded based on capability and capacity of the supplier to deliver, proposed methodology, and cultural competence.
Please note that this Advance Notice is not a tender process - it is simply a notification to the supply market that a procurement opportunity is forthcoming. Aside from subscribing to the Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO), you do not have to do anything. Any tender information sent to us will not be considered at this stage.
We intend to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) by the end of June. Suppliers will have up to 25 working days to prepare their response to the RFP.
