About the Role:
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects while providing technical advice to other staff delivering infrastructure projects in the Pacific. The role will support PACPF’s portfolio of municipal buildings, aviation, 3-waters, climate resilience and technical assistance projects. Specific objectives of the role are to support effective planning and delivery of our infrastructure projects by:
• Maintain high standards for project performance (budget, schedule quality, environmental and social) in accordance with sound development effectiveness principles.
• Provide progress and performance reporting for use in portfolio reporting. Perform a combination of project management and relationship management functions.
• Maintain close working relationships with bilateral teams and other parts of MFAT involved in the delivery of our Official Development Assistance.
• Provide advisory support to colleagues managing infrastructure activities.
• Manage the relationship with, and performance of, contractors to ensure that deliverables are of a high standard.
• Manage relationships associated with assigned projects, including partner government agencies, contractors, other donors, offshore personnel, relevant MFAT Divisions, other NZ Government agencies, communities, civil society and other stakeholders.
