Overview

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) is looking for a Technical Advisor for COVID-19 Communications and Destination Marketing to support the Solomon Islands Government, through Tourism Solomon Islands.

This role will support development and implementation of an effective COVID-19 Communications Plan, and enable Tourism Solomon Islands to stimulate demand for Solomon Islands as a visitor destination as international travel recommences and the industry rebuilds. The Technical Adviser will work to develop and implement a digital destination marketing strategy and associated work plan with Tourism Solomon Islands, as well as building staff capacity and supporting leaders at the organization.

This role will appeal if you are interested in being part of a programme that directly contributes to the enhancement of local communities in the Pacific. The initial assignment will be for up to 12 months full time, with an option to extend to a further 24 months. Anticipated start in August 2022, this role is based at the Tourism Solomon Islands office in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
