The New Zealand Government is pleased to be partnering with the Solomon Islands Government to recruit for and resource the Solomon Islands Accountant General. New Zealand is a trusted bilateral partner of Solomon Islands and our support for this role aligns to our shared bilateral values of good governance.
The Accountant General role will be based in Honiara, Solomon Islands and is a statutory position mandated by Solomon Islands’ Public Financial Management Act to ensure the prudent management of government resources and accounting of public money, store or property. This position directly reports to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MoFT) and is the head of the Solomon Islands Government accounting service.
The role is a 24 month assignment to start as soon as possible.
