The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), with the support of the Government Property Group (GPG), is formally engaging with the market in order to identify a Developer/ Landlord (the “Respondent”), that will provide an Existing Building and/or a New Building on suitable land to build on or redevelop (the “Building and/ or Land”), for commercial office accommodation in the Wellington central business district, preferably within easy walking distance of the Beehive.
The Respondent will develop the Building and/ or Land to meet MFAT core requirements as listed in Section 2 Our Requirements, in order to be ready for occupation by 1 June 2025. Specific details will be agreed with the Shortlisted Respondent/s during the Competitive Dialogue process.
MFAT is amenable to occupying a multi-tenanted Building including co-locating with other Government agencies and as such will use this process to explore any opportunities which provide for additional office accommodation over and above MFAT’s 13,000 m2 NLA requirement for consideration by other Government agencies.
