The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade leads New Zealand’s international response to climate change through multilateral negotiations, foreign policy and trade, and climate-related support through the New Zealand Aid Programme.
A key focus of our work is enabling the Pacific to tell its story and to look at creative ways to increase their voice and the visibility of the impacts of climate change on the Pacific Islands.
We are looking for a product or products that will engage outsiders with the Pacific’s experiences, resilience and/or knowledge in the face of the impacts of climate change and motivate them to drive/support change. We have no preconceived ideas of the method by which the Pacific story is communicated. This could be one or several different types of deliverables.
The challenge outlined above is huge – so we are open to any and all innovative and creative ideas, no matter how small or large, on how this could be achieved (as examples but not limited to - a documentary, viral campaigns, art installations, gamification, behaviour change campaigns, interactive website, videos etc). This means we may select one supplier or several. We are keen for this to be a collaborative effort with the Pacific. The deliverables will need to be carbon neutral and/or have a low emissions footprint.
