Overview

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (the Ministry) acts in the world to make New Zealanders safer and more prosperous. Its purpose is to create the international conditions and connections for New Zealand and New Zealanders to thrive.

The Infrastructure Adviser will be situated in Wellington and report directly to the Lead Adviser Infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects while providing technical advice to other staff delivering infrastructure projects in the Pacific. The role will primarily focus on PDG’s portfolio of municipal buildings but may also be provided to other sectors including aviation, roadworks, 3-waters, coastal strengthening and resilience building.

* 1 year contract role (up to 220 working days per year) with opportunity for extension
* Based in Wellington with occasional travel to the Pacific
* New Zealand Government development programme

This assignment is to start in March 2020, or as mutually agreed by MFAT and the successful candidate.
