The New Zealand Government has partnered with the Government of Tokelau to support the ongoing establishment and organisational strengthening of the Fisheries Management Authority (FMA), and assist the FMA to deliver quality services to Tokelau fisheries decision makers to implement the Tokelau fisheries policy.
Working closely with the FMA Director you will be required to build positive and productive relationships with local counterparts. You will have the ability to be politically sensitive and recognise the importance of stakeholder engagement; be self-managing and work independently; be highly organised and have self-motivated structured programme and reporting work habits and understand and respect the culture and diversity of the environment.
This role will appeal if you are interested in being part of a programme that directly contributes to the enhancement of local communities in Tokelau. This role is for a Two year term, The Contractor will work on a part time basis, up to 150 days over a two-year period, on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) basis as mutually agreed by MFAT and the Adviser. Anticipated start in February 2019. Opportunity may arise for governance and management support to extend to other areas of the Tokelau Public Service.
