• Two year assignment, first 6 months in country, followed by eighteen months part time on a fly-in fly-out basis

The New Zealand Government has partnered with the Government of Tokelau to provide support to the Fisheries Management Authority (FMA) to deliver quality services to Tokelau fisheries decision makers to assist in the implementation of the Tokelau fisheries policy. The Tokelau Fisheries Adviser will:
• Mentor and build capacity of the Director of the FMA and other FMA staff so they can perform their roles and responsibilities.
• Support the establishment of FMA corporate systems and processes.
• Support the provision of FMA advice to key decision-makers, notably the Minister of Fisheries, the FMA Director and the Administrator of Tokelau.
