The Ministry is seeking Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to build new classrooms at Buckland and Tuakau Schools. The schools are in close proximity and it is anticipated that the construction of the new classrooms will take place simultaneously. The works may be let as a single contract or as two separate contracts. At Buckland School, two new classrooms will be added to the end of an existing block which contains asbestos. At Tuakau School a new standalone block of four classrooms will be constructed. In both cases, the new classroom buildings will be single storey and the works will include the relocation of an existing playground. It is expected that construction will commence in March 2015.
