Specialist reports have identified degraded metal roofing and timber windows which are to be replaced to various buildings at Newlands Primary School.

The roofing work focuses on Block 1 replacing the flat metal roofing which includes replacing the clerestory windows to ensure compliant upstands and clearances are provided. The clear roofing to Block 14 is to be replaced with a trafficable product over mesh and an eave flashing is to be fitted to Block T1.

Timber windows will be replaced to Blocks 1 and 3 along with any rotten timber cladding encountered.

The work is extensive across an active school site for which a well considered site management plan is required to ensure risk to normal school operations are minimalised.
