The project comprises the full replacement of the existing approximately 90 metre crib retaining wall at Pakuranga College, Pigeon Mountain Road, Half Moon Bay, Auckland. The wall was constructed in the 1970s and has experienced partial failures, displacement, rotation, loss of retained material, voiding and cracking. The current concept is a reinforced-concrete soldier-pile retaining wall constructed behind the existing crib wall.

The outcome sought is a permanent retaining solution that replaces the failed crib wall, supports the retained bank, manages their construction risks to adjacent school buildings and occupants.
