Overview
This project seeks to carry out works to Block A, including existing deck and walkway removal and installation of an external staircase and balcony to better utilise and access Block A.
There is some overcladding of the south elevation blockwork required to improve weathertightness.
A new re-roof of Block A will replace the old end of life main roof and deck translucent roofing.
Internally, the ground and first floor rooms to the northern side of the block, which were previously part of the administration space, will be adapted into 2no. teaching spaces, requiring removal of internal walls and the installation of support beams and columns at ground floor level to open out the floor area.
Blocks A and B will have RCD protection installed.
