The Modifiying Open Plan Classrooms (MOPC) initiative endeavors to add walls into open space classrooms to help schools and teachers with their teaching activities, and students with their learning. The new Karamea Area School was opened approx. 4 years ago, with each new teaching space shared between 4 different year groups, the teachers have found the spaces noisy and disruptive for learning.
