Overview

The Contract Works required are: Full roof replacement site wide and associated canopy areas. The project includes removal of existing membrane and metal roofing, clear roofing, skylights, solar panels (not to be reinstated), gutters, downpipes, selected framing, and ACM soffits, with decontamination carried out in accordance with the Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition Survey. New works comprise installation of Colorsteel profiled metal roofing, new underlay, safety mesh, ventilation battens, purlins and structural framing upgrades, along with new box gutters, rainwater heads, downpipes and storm water connections, including localised paving reinstatement. The project also includes new aluminium clerestory windows, a new skylight with custom flashings, new soffit and ceiling linings with insulation, and associated making-good to internal and external finishes.

Suppliers are required to describe how their proposed approach will deliver economic benefits to New Zealand, including (but not limited to): Use of local labour for the delivery of the bathroom modification works. Engagement of New Zealand–based subcontractors and trades, including small and medium enterprises where appropriate. Supporting regional employment by sourcing workers from the local area where possible. Use of locally supplied materials where suitable and feasible. Suppliers should provide clear, practical examples of how they will demonstrate these benefits during contract delivery.

Ideally dependent on MoE funding approval this work would start as soon as possible after confirmation provided, however this will be discussed with the successful contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed.
