The Discovery School Board have identified Block 2 as the next area in the school that would benefit from refurbishment works focusing on DQLS improvements.
The proposed scope includes the refurbishment of all spaces incorporating the replacement of carpets, pinboard, decoration, joinery and windows. Redundant radiators are to be removed and replaced with convection heaters.
The school is upgrading its facilities with a wet area joinery unit developed in room 6a. This unit will play a big role in the food technology curriculum by providing functional spaces for food preparation and storage.
To ensure facilities provide for warm, safe and dry teaching environments, targeted replacement of two leaking windows is included.
