Overview

The outcome sought by this request for tender is the securing of a qualified and experienced main contractor to undertake the proposed contract works.

The existing senior playground area is currently a health and safety concern for the school and has had to be temporarily closed / fenced off from students due to the area being unsafe and causing injuries.

The existing upper playground area remain generally as is due to the good condition of the retaining walls around this area, with only a new safety from falling barrier installed along 2x edges of the existing retaining wall. The lower retaining walls and playground area are to be removed and a single replacement low retaining wall installed to create a lower playground area clear of the existing large Norfolk Pine. Along with the replacement retaining wall, new subsoil drainage will be installed to address surface water issues potentially affecting the existing retaining walls and playground area. The supply and installation of new safety fall surfacing including fall safety rated bark laid over a new geotextile fabric and built-up ground.
