Russell School is proposing to deliver a project that targets the replacement of boilers.
The proposed work includes the removal and disposal of old existing gas fire boilers, flues and associated pipework.
The gas connection to the school will be isolated and permanently disconnected.
New electric heat pump boilers are to be supplied and installed along with a new distribution board and control panel. A new electrical mains cable from the street is required. All new and existing pipework is to be insulated.
To allow for the installation of the new outdoor units, a civil contractor is to be engaged by the engaged supplier to undertake site works including site clearance, tree removal and landscaping to allow for the construction of a concrete slab. A retaining wall is also to be created with Hurricane wire security fencing and a lockable gate enclosing a safe and demarcated service yard.
