Overview

A recent condition assessment of the school has identified areas of cladding and roofing on Block A that require replacement.

The targeted roofing works include the removal and disposal of the existing translucent sheets. All roofing on the northern side, as indicated on the architectural drawings will be inspected for corrosion, with localised replacement carried out as required. Apron and barge flashings across the block will also be renewed. Photovoltaic panels will be removed before work commences and reinstated upon completion.

In addition, classrooms 6, 7 and 8 will be refurbished. This will involve removing and disposing of the existing floor coverings, installing new carpet tiles and entrance mats and fitting transition strips where required. Light fittings will be removed to allow installation of new Quietspace acoustic ceiling panels, after which new lights will be installed in these classrooms and the adjoining verandahs.
Within the lobby, breakout and wet areas the existing ceiling linings will be removed and replaced. Light fittings will be temporarily removed and reinstated once the new linings are in place.

All new and existing finishes, including trims, ceilings and timber joinery will be prepared and painted to complete the works.
