Matua Ngaru and Te Uho o te Nikau Primary are Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Schools situated In the Auckland region. Te Uho o te Nikau Primary is a primary school catering for years 1-6 in located in Flatbush. Matua Ngaru is a primary school catering for years 1-6 located in Kumeu, Northwest Auckland.
In 2024, both schools were provided 16 Short Term Roll Growth (STRG) classrooms and 3 ablution blocks; 12 Teaching spaces (TS) were allocated to Te Uho o te Nikau Primary and 4 TS located at Matua Ngaru. The permanent buildings are near completion and the classrooms are now required at other schools in the region, therefore the removal and uplift with associated site works to make good is required.
The buildings are available to be removed from the end of Term 4 (December 2025). Completion of works is preferably required before the end of January 2026.

This contract (and package of projects at two schools) was awarded to Watts Hughes Construction Ltd and began on 10 December 2025. The term of this contract is until the completion of the of deflects liability period (post construction stage) of the project.
It is intended that the whole of life contract value resulting from this procurement will fall within the $500k-$1m value band.
