Overview

Dunstan High School is undertaking a targeted upgrade of Block C, focusing on modernising existing infrastructure to better support Innovative Learning Environments (ILE). This initiative, funded under the school’s 5-Year Agreement (5YA), aims to convert several underused or outdated spaces into fit-for-purpose breakout zones and flexible teaching areas that align with contemporary educational delivery.
The school seeks to replace a redundant science lab and associated spaces with a multipurpose, flexible-use classroom. A grade a teacher workroom and repurpose a storage area into user friendly breakout space for student collaboration or withdrawal.
Ensure upgrades are compliant with safety, accessibility, and performance standards while enhancing the learning experience. These works aim to enhance learning flexibility, promote student agency, and future-proof the built environment for evolving pedagogies.
Contract works are intended to be delivered during the Summer Holiday Period prior to Christmas. The final construction programme will be developed in consultation with the appointed contractor to ensure it is realistic and enables the school to plan accordingly around site access, Health & Safety and operational needs.
