The Project background is:
i. This would be the 3rd redevelopment project that the Ministry has planned for Hillmorton School.
ii. The 1st project was the construction of a two- storey Middle School building of 22 Teaching spaces.
iii. The 2nd project was the construction of a new Gym with 3 TS.
iv. Due to Hillmorton School build roll has increased, the Ministry intention is to construct a new Science building on the edge of the North Sports field.
v. The building consists of a two-storey building of 8 science labs and 2 GL with a total area of 1610m2
vi. The Project scope includes all related infra structural services which involves the construction of a storm water detention swale and an underground wastewater pump station and related civil work.
vii. The design has been completed by Baldasso Cortese Noordanus as a lead design, Powell Fenwick for civil and Beca as a sub consultant for the remaining services.
viii. The Procurement for main contractor is based on a traditional procurement process of using four main contractors from the Ministry Panel.

The detailed design has now been completed and is currently being reviewed and Project QS is currently doing a detailed design estimate of the cost.
ix. Ministry Investment Board is currently in the process of approving the Business case submitted for this project.
x. A duration of 12 month is expected for construction
