Cyclical painting works – full repaint of exterior paint finished surfaces including minor remedial work to the Gym; Spencer Block, Flats, Archives & Uniform Shop. Scaffolding will be required. Interior painting of Block C (L).
All Works
I. Cyclical painting works – full repaint of exterior paint finished surfaces including cladding, paint finished structure, downpipes, timber trim and timber/steel joinery, exposed paint finished foundations and decking. The work includes treatment of lichen/moss etc and minor remedial work. Scaffolding will be required.
II. Repaint of roof including spouting etc.
III. Work includes paint finished steps/small retaining walls etc but excludes existing paint finished concrete step treads – refer photos
IV. All surfaces to be soft washed. All lichen, moss, mildew etc to be treated and removed. Gutters to be cleaned out. No water blasting.
V. Include for all surface preparation as per attached ‘Maintenance Guide for Schools’.
VI. Hardware, fixtures and fittings to be removed as reasonably practical for painting works.
VII. Maintenance work as identified in the attached ‘Maintenance Guide for Schools’ to be tendered as part of this work. A Provisional Sum for this work has been included
VIII. All work to be completing using Resene paints, to match existing colours and gloss level and to be carried out in accordance with manufacturers requirements to good practice. Refer attached Resene Specification.
IX. The scaffolding may be used for other essential maintenance when in place. Please include a day rate for scaffolding, or part scaffolding per block as applies. Any additional use will be negotiated directly with the successful contractor.
X. School will arrange for pruning/removal of any vegetation as required for access and completion of the painting works prior to start of the contract.
