The school is passionate about providing buildings, grounds and learning resources that are wellmaintained, modern and attractive. Included in this project are the following activities that look to modernise and enhance the school
• The bathrooms are largely original, are to be upgraded to meet current MOE guidelines for school bathrooms
• The school wishes to create an outdoor learning area off the classrooms. This covered space will allow outdoor learning opportunities in all weather conditions.
• These works have triggered the requirement to upgrade the school's fire alarm system to a type 4 fire alarm system
• Removal and make good of existing skylight in the Kitchen area
A building consent has been approved by the Central Otago District Council.
It is preferred that the works are completed during school holidays to minimise disturbance and risks though programming will be further discussed with the successful tenderer. However depending on the programme it is requested that tenderers supply a school term plan, with associated toilet portable building to enable school operations to continue. This could be located directly adjacent to the existing school block, where services are available.
