The standardisation of school building design project aims to begin the development of a series of standard building designs and classroom layouts (delivered as separate bundles) that can be used across the country and achieve value for the Ministry, communities and schools.
The outcome for this project is the development of at least six building typologies, and a coordinated set of classroom layouts that can be used in projects going forward. Future phases will further refine and develop the detail of our standard designs.

Procurement for Design services is currently underway. Two separate procurement processes are being run. One process is for building designs and the other is for building layouts. The documents for both processes are included within Appendix 1 of this procurement document pack.
Quantity Surveyor services to support the delivery of this program are required. Key to the overall success of the program will be the Quantity Surveyors ability to collaborate with the Designers and challenge both the Ministry and the Designers to achieve the best outcomes for the program.
