The current roofs at Kaikorai Valley College are at end of life and not able to be maintained
as a result. The Colleges Board of Trustees have had plans prepared to meet the MoE
Design Requirements for Weathertightness.
● Dating from the late 1950s the roofs on the whole are shallow pitch and clad with
Butynol style roofing.
● The project works included but not limited to:
○ Repitching with metal cladding of roofs
○ Relocation of mechanical services
○ Installation of of new mechanical services
○ Installation of new spouting
○ Installation of new drainage
