Following on from the recent ROI, your company has been successfully evaluated to move through to this RFT stage.

The ministry of education are seeking the services of a main contractor to undertake the construction works to build a new specialist satellite unit block at Pomare School. The proposed building has been designed with simplicity, maintenance and ease of constructability in mind. This project will involve:

• Connection to inground services and site preparation
• Construction of foundations – The foundation design is a concrete slab on top of driven timber piles. Engineers drawings show this.
• Construction of the building and interior fit out.
• The project is medium in scale – the physical works touching only the area concerned with the new, approximately 300m2, single story, light framed timber building.
• There is a new driveway and likely a SW detention tank discharging into a new raingarden. This design will come from the civil engineer and be released as an NTT on the 23rd or 24th of October.
• The work will need to be carefully planned to ensure the delivery date of March 2025 is met. Careful coordinating of product and material deliveries, human resources and construction activities will be crucial.

The Contractor will be engaged through an MOE major works contract (Construction contracts for professional services and works).

2. Include acoustic treatment on the ceilings of the teaching spaces
3. Provide additional details of the septic tank
4. Provide additional details of the concrete driveway
