Overview

Registrations of Interest are sort for Building Main-Contractors to price the supply and installation works of a 5YA Blocks 5&6 AMS / ILE / DQLS Interior Replacement & Alteration project at Otahuhu Intermediate School, Auckland.

The existing interior finishing materials have reached the end of their lifecycle and become old and require replacement with new finishes, including the introduction of usable and upgraded spaces.
This project will require site visits and the appropriate inspections to determine the supply and installation of the required materials.
Design documentation and scope of works will be provided.

All documentation will be prepared by an architect representative consultant, to NZ Safety Codes and MoE standards.
All procedures to comply with MoE property legislation.

History :

Lifecycle replacement of existing light fittings, finishes & sliding doors.
Existing finishes have exceeded their lifespan and become old and worn.
Reclad and install new single sliding doors ( Nth Elevation )
Replace old external doors ; targeted replacement of damaged brick wall ( Sth Elevation )
To comply with ILE standards.

Nature of the Works :
Blocks 5 & 6 :
Existing Infrastructure : Classrooms 1,2,3,4,Art ( 5 Spaces )
Staged project.

Exterior ( Nth Elevation ) :
Demolition : Remove old existing materials and dispose off-site.
Building Works :
- Provision for asbestos removal prior to re-cladding and replacing external sliding doors.
- 5x external access double doors for each classroom : 1,2,3,4, Art Room.
- Remove existing brick wall and existing cladding ; Replace cladding with new timber weatherboard.
Exterior ( Sth Elevation ) :
Demolition : Remove old existing materials and dispose off-site.
Building Works :
- Use salvaged bricks from the North elevation wall for the targeted replacement of damaged bricks to the wall outside Room 1.
- Replace external door in Room 3 with aluminium.
- Replace external door in Room 4 with aluminium.
Interior :
Demolition : Remove old existing materials and dispose off-site.
Building Works :
- Room 3 ceiling : Remove damaged ceiling tiles and replace with marine ply ; Paint to match adjacent ceilings.
- New Floor coverings as reguired.
- All classrooms : Replace fluorescent light fittings with new LED lights.
