Background

Aurora College in Invercargill is receiving a major capital works project upgrade to their campus. Blocks B is forecast to stay beyond the date of the capital works project.

The building is exhibiting signs of historic weathertightness failures. Thes include:

Failure at the join of the south side of the braced wall on the south side of auditorium. (Around the cracks in the braced wall and a lack of a flashing at the timber concrete veneer junction).

High level window sill failures to the east and west side of the auditorium

Failure to the roofing membrane around the auditorium

Interior damage to wall linings.



The Project Scope is

Relace the membrane roofing

Repair the south side braced wall and install flashings

Replace flashings to the high level windows

Replace damaged interior linings.,
